Nick's Story...
Meet Nick, a wonderful little guy! He is an adorable 9 mos old Chihuahua who is very loveable, super friendly and loves to cuddle. He bonded easily with his foster family and plays well with other dogs, but is not a fan of cats. He still acts very much like a puppy and loves sleeping with you under the covers, going for walks, and playing with toys. He especially loves to play fetch with a ball. He is extremely smart, very inquisitive, and learns quickly. He is almost house trained. Nick would be a wonderful addition to a loving family. If you would like to meet this precious little boy please send in your application found at www.RescueAChi.com or come to one of our upcoming events which are listed on our web site.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nick, a San Diego Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
