Smiley's Story...
Smiley is an extremely sweet Shepherd-mix that is looking for a loving forever home to call her own! She is approximately 3 years old and sadly it appears that she was used as breeding machine for the first years of her life. She is medium sized and weighs about 45 pounds. Smiley is a very friendly girl who has a wonderful temperament and is great with all people and other dogs. She is an utter delight who knows the commands sit and down, and takes treats gently from your fingers. She loves human affection and rolls over for belly rubs! Smiley would make a wonderful addition to any home that is looking to add a loving and loyal pet to their family.

Smiley is healthy, de-wormed, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on preventative. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Smiley, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net. Her adoption donation of $200 benefits the rescued dogs Of Lucky Dog Rescue. Smiley is currently living in a boarding kennel near Chicago, IL and would love to get out of the kennel and into a loving home environment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smiley, a Chicago German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
