MoMo's Story...
I’m a cute little chunky girl named MoMo. I found my way to FOHA by way of the Fairfax County shelter, where I was given up by my former family. How sad – but that won’t keep me down! No, I’m ready to snuggle my way into a new family’s heart. I’m a quiet yet sassy girl – I am most adamant in my love of pets, snuggles, and laps. I’m a roly-poly type of girl – my girlish figure is a thing of the past. Ah, but all the more of me to love! I also love to snuggle up in a soft cat bed, relaxing the day away. Oh, or you can brush me – I do like that! I’m quiet the cutie, don’t you agree? You should come out to FOHA to meet me and see just how adorable I really am. I’m sure you’ll fall in love with me. (PLEASE NOTE: I can only be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MoMo, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
