My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Waylon is a purebred Golden Retriever. He is 6 years old. GRFR stepped up for Waylon when his original family could no longer care for him. His devoted foster family shared:

"Waylon is a great Golden. He interacts well with grown ups & children of all ages. He also gets along well with other dogs & cats. Waylon came into GRFR quite overweight. He has already lost nearly 10 lbs with another 15 lbs to go. This should be no problem for Waylon as he loves going on walks! He will need to you to continue with his diet dog food and two daily walks for him to reach his goal of a healthy weight.

Waylon is one of the sweetest Goldens you will ever meet. He constantly stays by your side. He loves to meet new people and he loves car rides too. He also loves to have his hair brushed & stands patiently for you to finish."I am even more handsome now!" Waylon will do well in a family where he is your solo Golden and can n have all your attention to himself, or with with another confident mellow dog. Waylon is not a fan of sharing his food or toys with other dogs but when he realizes that there's enough for everyone he's fine.
