Austin's Story...
Meet Austin, a 5 year old Black Tri Australian Shepherd male who weighs around 45 pounds. Austin is housebroken, up to date on all his shots and neutered as well as heartworm negative. Austin is also crate trained and Aussie Approved™

Austin gets along well with other dogs and is super around adults. He is not a good candidate around children under 6-8 years old as he gets nervous. We suggest no small toddlers for our man Austin.

Austin walks well on a leash and rides great in a car. Austin is on the lower energy side so if you are looking for a more mellow fellow he could be your man.

Austin is located in Bloomington Illinois, to adopt this Australian Shepherd click here: Aussie Rescue Midwest Adoption Application. Reference ASRM 0088.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Austin, a Washington Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Washington, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Washington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washington paves the way for another one to be saved.
