Toby's Story...
Toby is a playful, funny and sweet 1 year old blue and white pit bull puppy mix. He is first and foremost, the MOST affectionate and loving dog that has ever walked through the door. Every morning and evening, he snuggles up for his daily dose of hugs, kisses and cuddles. Toby loves to go for long walks along Ventura Boulevard or hiking in the hills at Runyon Canyon. He is polite and submissive to his foster family of four dogs - a pit bull, an Akita mix, a Chihuahua mix and an Italian Greyhound. Toby is a good mix of playfulness and quiet companionship. He loves to sleep in his crate all night, without a peep, until he is allowed to come out in the morning to join the family. He is potty trained and walks perfectly on a leash. Toby has gone through professional one-on-one puppy training and is a shining student at Bark Avenue Doggie Daycare. He loves to play with other dogs and listens well to his caretaker. He knows what it is to share and have no food or toy aggression. His happy-go-lucky and easy going temperament is a testament to how dogs thrive with the proper care and love. Despite his rocky start very early in life when he was found wondering the streets in South L.A. and picked up by animal control, Toby has come a long way and is extremely appreciative of his second chance at a good life. He is looking for a loving and responsible forever home, preferably with other dogs, with a human companion who has bully breed experience.

Please read everything below, most of your questions may be answered in our description.
All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, dewormed, licensed, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Also included is a free health check by our licensed veterinarian. The dogs that come out of our program are very well socialized when they leave, both with people, and other dogs. It is up to the new owners to maintain this. All of our dogs, young and old are crate trained. This gives the new owner a head start for house breaking, and to curb any separation anxiety and or destructive behavior. Most of our dogs are in foster homes and we are able to tell you lots about each of their personalities. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An adoption fee, application, and contract are required. Please direct all questions to smashfacerescue911@yahoo. All our dogs can be seen 7 days a week by appointment ONLY. We are located in Van Nuys 91405. If you are interested in setting up a day and time please send us an e-mail.

Thank you in advance,

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Van Nuys American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Van Nuys, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Van Nuys.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Van Nuys already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Van Nuys breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Van Nuys paves the way for another one to be saved.
