Vera's Story...
My name is Vera. I was found running around in a park. I was so scared. At the shelter I trembled like a leaf, even when I was introduced to my foster mom. But I was so happy she took me home! I came out of my shell right away, playing with the other foster dog and showering my new human friends with affection. I am a spaniel/papillon mix, petite at 10 pounds, with long legs and shiny black fur. I am housetrained and get along fine with dogs of all sizes. And I will be very happy to snuggle with you! Please fill out an application if you want to meet me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vera, a Castro Valley Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Papillon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Papillon for sale in Castro Valley, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Papillon dog from a breeder in Castro Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Castro Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Castro Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Papillon breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Castro Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
