Cubby's Story...
CUBBY......  Rottie / Pitty Mix ( the best of dogs). DOB 6/26/10..  This sweet. handsome boy is one of the most affectionate, loving, fun and well behaved dogs around. His foster home has nothing but the nicest things to say about him. Cubby came into rescue with his sister after being found in their home with their beloved owner who had passed away a few days prior (they apparently stayed at his side).  We had tried to place them together but as siblings we learned that they would be best apart and they have done very well. Cubby rides perfectly in the car (loves McDonald's) and does pretty well on a leash.  He needs lots of exercise so a home with a big yard to play in is a must.  He would also be a great dog to walk and hike with !  We feel that he would be best as an only dog as he gets a bit too crazy when playing with other dogs.  He has been around cats but we always advise caution. Cubby also likes to relax at home in front of the fireplace or on the couch with his people and this boy knows how to relax !!!  Sometimes the breeds listed scare people off but all of us in Keeper Rescue can say that this is one of the best kids around !!  If you are interested in Cubby please contact him through Keeper Rescue via email at ...  Cubby will be waiting to hear from you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cubby, a Fort Hunter Rottweiler/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Fort Hunter, or seeking a Rottweiler/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Fort Hunter.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Hunter already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Hunter breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Rottweiler/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Hunter paves the way for another one to be saved.
