June 4th update
I went to visit George today and am amazed that we haven't found that perfect home yet. But the longer he stays the more we know about what he would like.
George loves people and he can play on his own, but he really really enjoys the comp...any of other dogs. And we are finding that while he has an independant streak, he take cues from other dogs and is always willing to either play or leave them alone. He also likes the cats that he lives with. So we are thinking another animal to keep George company would be in his best interest. And most important, George needs to go to obedience classes to learn all about being the very best he can be.
Georges adoption fee will include his neuter, his vaccines and microchip and tattoo. Please share Georges picture and story. We are willing to adopt within British Columbia but we do not adopt outside of the province.
May 25th update
George is a happy, independent little pup who seems to adapt to anything that comes his way. He loves people and is happy just to snuggle on your lap Georgegets along well with all the dogs and cats in his foster home. He Loves playing with the big dogs, but is also happy to find a toy and play on his own . George is very smart and doing really well with his housetraining and basic commands. He is good on leash and loves to go for walks around the neighbourhood, and meet new friends. George can be a bit vocal when left alone so may need a little help by practicing gradual departures and being left alone only for short periods until he learns he is safe. He is such a sweet little puppy and an excellent companion for someone willing to take the time and effort needed for him to grow into a well-adjusted family member.
George is not a rottweiler. He was simply a dog in need. George came to us from Northern BC. We do know that his mom is a golden retriver but we have no idea who his daddy was. George is living with dogs and cats and seems ok with all of it. He will need a home that has the time to teach him housebreaking, and how to be a good dog. He will be a large boy once he is grown and will need exercise and love.
Our dogs are only adopted in British Columbia
All animals in the care of WCRR are spayed or neutered before adoption.
