Alissa is a female Maltese/Poodle (Maltipoo) puppy only 5 months old. She is a small, dainty little thing with a very gentle disposition. This little 7 pound girl has a glorious, fluffy cream colored coat that is amazingly soft and non-shedding. She is a dream to hold and cuddle - she gets very high marks on the snuggle meter! She is a classy girl with both beauty and brains. Alissa is still very much a baby and responds well to lots of encouragement and gentle handling. As you can see from her pictures, she has already been through too much in her young life. Alissa came to the shelter as a stray with extensive trauma to the side of her face. Sadly, she lost her eye on that side. It is most likely that Alissa was hit by a car, although we have no way of knowing for sure. She has healed very well and aside from growing the hair back on her face, Alissa has made a full recovery. She is a pretty little girl regardless, and with time her soft hair will grow down over her missing eye. Alissa is a brave pup and will be an outstanding pet once she finds a responsible, stable, loving forever home. She has earned it without a doubt. Alissa trots along very nicely on leash and enjoys being outside as long as she is with her people. She is a dog that is meant to be a pampered pet. Alissa loves being stroked and is very affectionate. She shows interest in other dogs her size and will wag her tail in greeting. She does not like rough play - for obvious reasons - and prefers soft squeaky toys or tasty treats. She is quiet and well mannered inside the home and very easy to manage. She is looking for a home that she can count on, one where she can relax and enjoy being a young pup. She is ready for her forever home today!
Alissa's adoption donation is $400 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Alissa is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteers, Simone & Arndt and is ready for her forever home.
