Freyja's Story...
Freyja is a beautiful girl with a wonderful personality ~ she was surrendered to a kill shelter in KY when the owner claimed they were too sick to care for her ~ When her time was up we made arrangements for her to come to rescue in NJ so she could find the loving forever home she deserves! ~ She is about 15 weeks old ~ up to date with vaccinations ~ microchipped ~ and already been spayed ~ She is in foster care with other dogs, cats, and older kids and is doing very well with everyone ~ *Freyja weighs 8lbs 4ozs* A home with experience with the Shih Tzu breed would be ideal!

~~~Please email rescue-me@earthlink.net to have application mailed to you to submit for possible approval ~~~
Puppies require a lot of time for housebreaking, training, and proper socialization ~ It is in the puppies best interest that they be adopted to families where someone will be home most of the day ~ Thank you for your understanding!!
Why Adoption is a Great Option
Freyja, a Milford Shih Tzu/American Eskimo Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/American Eskimo Dog for sale in Milford, or seeking a Shih Tzu/American Eskimo Dog puppy from a breeder in Milford.
  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with Shih Tzu/American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
