Bailey's Story...
Bailey is one of Mouse's kittens. Mouse originally appeared at the door of a foster home for Our Lady of Mercy's Catnip Cottage in the late spring of 2002 sheltering her 2 kittens from a downpour and flash flood underneath her body. They all lived with the family since then, until recently when a combination of illness, personal and financial difficulties split up their happy home. Now Bailey waits patiently for a new adoptive family with his sister and mother. Bailey is initially shy in new situations and with newcomers, but is a most loving and affectionate boy. He freely gives kisses and nose-snuggles. Bailey gets along wonderfully with other cats and with dogs. He is a handsome and healthy boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bailey, a Summerville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Summerville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Summerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Summerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Summerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Summerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
