for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Roscoe's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Roscoe's Story...
Roscoe’s adoption fee is $375.

Roscoe is a real go-getter. Found by Animal Control running the streets, this active 32 lb. boy is very strong and has a very high energy level. He’s up to date on his vaccinations, micro chipped and neutered. We have estimated his age to be about 2.5 years old. His left hip clicks but does not seem to bother him right now, but it should be checked regularly by a vet.

Roscoe is being walked upwards of 5Km and sometimes runs 7 to 8 Km a day. He can run a kilometre in 6 minutes flat!! When he decides he is going somewhere, Roscoe can pull very hard. He does get along with other dogs but will bark his very loud and deep bark at dogs, men or rabbits etc., and isn’t intimidated by large dogs – he’ll gladly play with them. Roscoe tends to be a slow eater, taking up to 10 minutes to eat.

Roscoe really is a sweetheart - he cuddles well and wants to be a lap dog. This busy fellow will need an owner who is able to give him the exercise that he needs, and who enjoys snuggling as well – does this sound like the companion you’ve been looking for?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roscoe, a Toronto Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
