Bug's Story...
Bug is a gorgeous little 1 1/2 year old cat. We got her from a family that couldn't keep her, but she was in bad condition. She had fleas (something very rare in Utah), a stomach parasite, and she was too young to have been taken from her mother. We got all of her medical issues resolved, but as a result from being taken away from her mom too soon, she does love to suckle any soft blanket-which, depending on your view, can be very endearing or annoying. She is sweet but very spunky, and will let you know what she wants, when she wants it. She starts out a little shy, but turns into a total love bug after she comes out of her shell. She was adopted out once, but has recently been returned, through no fault of her own-her last owner abandoned his family including his cats, and his wife didn't feel she could properly care for them on her own along with her new baby.

Bug's adoption fee is $40 which includes her spay, rabies, distemper combo shots and deworming. If you would like more information or to adopt this cat please call or text 801-643-9622. This rescue is closed to new intakes, but we are still doing adoptions until all current animals have found their forever homes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bug, a Ogden Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Ogden, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Ogden.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ogden already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ogden breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ogden paves the way for another one to be saved.
