More About Me:Hello, I am Frodo. I am a wonderful companion. I enjoy my walks and outings. I always look forward to going for a walk or a nice ride in the car. I enjoy my people and am always glad to see them. I am friendly to those that I meet and enjoy all the adventures and sites of my outings. I am active, but NOT hyper. I do wonderfully with the other dogs in my foster home and the other dogs I meet, but I do not play with them much. I have a wonderful spirit and enjoy playing with my people, as well as an independent side to my personality. I know my basic commands and follow them fairly well. I am crate trained and house trained. If you are a Schnauzer perso then I am the dog for you! I am so excited to finally find a loving home I can be a part of it – is that home yours? FOSTER UPDATE
Frodo is a darling Schnauzer boy. Frodo loves to go for walks, bye bye in the car and just about anywhere that you go. He is a very happy boy with spunk and charisma. When he gets excited he will talk to you – this is quite cute. Frodo is not a couch potato – he loves to go places and be active. He is NOT hyper, but does have spunk and charm. Frodo does well with the other dogs in his foster home, but he does not interact much with them – he prefers his people and independence. He likes toys and enjoys to play fetch (but is still working on the drop it part of fetch. He is obedient and listens well to his humans. He knows sit, off, down, and come. He has been doing very well meeting new people and loves attention, treats, and pets. Frodo did well with his bath, nail trim, and scissor cut, however he is not a fan of clippers (the noise of it turning on scares him). Frodo is house trained and crate trained. Frodo is a great little guy with a loving and fun personality.

History: Frodo was found 2 years ago scared, matted and covered in marshmallows on July 5th. He has lived with that family for 2 years now, but their lifestyle no longer suits Frodo. NWIPR was asked to bring Frodo into rescue and find him a great home. We are so glad to have him join us in rescue.

NWIPR IS AN ALL VOLUNTEER REGISTERED NON-PROFIT 501c3 PUBLIC CHARITY
Your adoption donation is used to care for and vet the many dogs that enter into rescue from overcrowded shelters where their time is running out-ultimately they are on death row. Your adoption donation goes directly to the care of the many dogs that enter into rescue. All dogs leave rescue vaccinated, sterilized, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, and medically checked out. In some cases they receive dentals, ear flush, surgeries, and so on to ensure that they are healthy and ready to be adopted. Your adoption donation is very much appreciated and needed to help care for the many needy dogs that enter into rescue. New adopters receive a FREE exam coupon at a local veterinary clinic in Lynnwood OR a $30 care voucher to a veterinary chain (so be sure to ask about these coupons if you are interested).

NOTE: Please do not email for more dog info. This is all the info available until approved application is received and then you can talk directly to that dog's foster home for further info. Thank you!

NWIPR's adoption process includes completion of an adoption application, a vet check, screening, in person meeting, a home visit and a lifetime adoption contract. NWIPR is the pet's advocate and will select the most suitably matched home for the dog's general and unique needs, therefore adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis. We reserve the right to refuse service and adoption for any reason.

PLEASE NOTE: The information contained within this pet's biography is based on observations from the current foster home. NWIPR is very honest about the pet's behavior and needs (and provides up to date information), we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners as individual household dynamics vary greatly.

CONSIDER FOSTERING A DOG
***Do you or someone you know have the desire to help a rescue dog? If you have a loving heart, dog experience, a safe and secure yard and the notion to make a difference, please consider fostering a rescue dog. There are MANY dogs that we just do not have room for and just one person can make a world of difference to a dog that needs a safe place to rest his or her weary paws.....***

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frodo, a Lynnwood Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Lynnwood, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Lynnwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lynnwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lynnwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lynnwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
