Finn's Info...

I am already neutered, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Finn's Story...
Finn is very friendly, 4 year old Black Lab mix. He originally came into the shelter as a stray and was subsequently adopted out to a family that, unfortunately, was unable to keep him. He is eager to please, knows his sit and down commands, is good on lead and is very affectionate. Finn loves to play but he can get really involved in the game, so he would be best suited for a family with children over the age of 10. He likes other dogs but would prefer to be in a cat free house. Once you meet him, you will be hard pressed to resist his charms.

Act quickly to adopt Finn. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Finn, a Huntington Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Huntington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Huntington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntington paves the way for another one to be saved.
