Lightning's Story...
Lightning is a beautiful boy that was rescued with 12 other pals from a neglectful home. Now, his guardians are making sure he has a tummy full of great food each day and lots of fun and excercise at his foster home. Although still a bit apprehensive of his new world, he is always smiling and ready for new adventures..

His gorgeous coat has almost returned and he is looking more handsome every day. He loves to ride in the car and whn not looking out the window at all the new things in the world, he lays quietly on your lap.

He does fine with kitties...in fact he looks at them and says, oops, wrong room!

Lightning has paid his dues in life AND is waiting for his true family...ones that understand loyalty! And a patient family that would love to watch him become the dog he wants to be....

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lightning, a Sacramento Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
