Jillie Ann's Story...
Jillie Ann's story is a sad and nearly tragic tale. She was wandering around a person's house for a few days and was taken to the local dog pound. The pound took her to the vet to be put to sleep without even having a chance at being adopted out as Jillie was the considered an "owner surrender". The vet took one look at this girl and said, "No way!" She was networked for adoption or rescue, and that is how she came to be with us at P. A. W. S. TN. Jillie Ann is a is a total LOVE. She is about a year old, in great health, and is a calm, sweet, grateful girl. Jilly Ann is smart and even won first place for best trick at a local pet event this weekend. Jillie caught a treat in her mouth when tossed into the air--a trick that only took her about 3 minutes to master! Her handler was an 8 yr old girl; both girls felt very accomplished (and Jillie Ann full we suppose =). If considering adding a rescue pet to your home, please consider Jillie Ann. Our adoption application may be found at and will be e-mailed directly to us once the submit button is clicked. Please feel free to e-mail us at with any questions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jillie Ann, a Clarksville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Clarksville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Clarksville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clarksville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clarksville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clarksville paves the way for another one to be saved.
