My story

Size: Standard 16.5 lbs and growing.
Sebastian was picked up as a stray by Animal Control in the Fresno area and brought to the Bay Area by Dachshund Rescue. We can’t decide if he is a purebred of if he has a dash of beagle or something similar. Whatever his background, he is one cute dog.

Sebastian is well socialized with people and all sizes of dogs. He is currently going on long walks twice a day and he loves them. He also has the doxie penchant for toys and he enjoys a good game of fetch.

Sebastian is living with a female dachshund and he likes having a buddy. He prefers to not be left alone for long periods of time so he would probably do best in a home with a canine brother or sister to keep him company.

This ball of energy also seems to do fine with children age 5 and up. He loves to cuddle up with his people and makes it very clear that the crate is not nearly as good as being under the covers of the big bed.
Sebastian does get barky when new people enter his home. We think an obedience class would be great for him to help him realize he does not have to be in charge.

Sebastian is neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccinations. He came into rescue a bit underweight and could easily reach 20 lbs once he fills out.
