My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Bronson, a very loving 52-pound, 2-year-old mix with possibly some lab and terrier and hound all rolled into one. His head is broad like a pit bull, but that's where the resemblance ends. He has the longer legs, longer snout and profile more of a lab or rhodesian ridgeback. He's a very beautiful golden color and his eyes match his coat. He's a gorgeous, handsome boy (his pictures don't do him justice - stay tuned for some better ones!)

He's a very smart boy, eager to learn. After only a short time in his foster home, he is housebroken, comes to his name, and has learned the sit, down and shake commands. Shake is his favorite - he's an enthusiastic paw-giver, very pleased to demonstrate how smart and obedient he is. It’s really very cute. Teaching him is fun because you can tell he is trying to figure out what you want. He is trustworthy in the home, not chewing anything or getting into garbage or anything destructive. He willingly goes into his crate at bedtime and sleeps through the night. He is okay on a leash but still will pull if he sees a squirrel or something that excites him. (Like many dogs, he has very strong opinions about squirrels: they all need chasing :)

He's extremely loving and social and will be the kind of dog that is going to be very attached to his new family. He likes to cuddle - on your lap if you let him. He's the kind of dog that follows you everywhere, and he will sleep with you if you let him and will make a cuddly and affectionate bed partner. He's playful as you would expect from a young dog, but not hyper or out of control. He likes tug of war and playing with the resident dog in his foster home. He ignores the resident cat when she's lying around, but will get up in her face when she invades Bronson's space.

Bronson is looking for a dedicated owner to be his best friend, and who will continue with his training so that he continues to blossoms into the phenomenal dog he is meant to be.

Bronson's adoption fee of $290 includes: vet exam, heartworm test, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, microchip, deworming and neuter.
