Payton is approximately 8 years young and believed to be a Shih-Tzu/Lhaso Apso Mix. He is a small boy and only weighs approximately 8 pounds.

Payton is fully vetted, including his vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, heartworm tested negative, and started on his flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Payton also recently had a dental.

Payton has been around dogs, both large and small, and did well. He can be bossy and he likes his own space. He would do well with another female dog his size that also like her own space. Payton paid zero attention to the cats and has no issues with them.

Payton is a friendly boy and loves to be close by. He loves to sit on your lap or near you and snuggle in close. Payton has been around kids and did well, however, he does seem to prefer the older ones, so we recommend kids ages 5+years. Payton would love a home where someone is home most of the time and he gets a lot of attention, but he is kennel trained as well as partially house trained (his foster home is giving him a refresher course).

Payton walks well on the leash and will come when you call his name. He is also treat motivated and will sit - his foster home is also working on his other commands as well. Payton never wanders far from you, but does enjoy a fenced in yard to hang out in. Payton is looking for that second chance to find that wonderful home he can retire in.
