SWEET ROSIE. ODR INC just saved a very sweet double dapple special needs dachshund (blind and deaf as result of terrible breeding practices). Rosie is just 3 yrs old and did have a darling twin sister. Unfortunately ODR INC. was unable to save her sister in time. If the previous owners had just taken her to a vet she would be alive today. We are making sure that Rosie is fully vetted. She will need TLC since she and her sister were a bonded pair and relied upon one another. We are looking for a blind deaf doxie savvy home. Blind and deaf doxies are easy to care for and we have several volunteers that foster our blind deaf and who can teach you the ropes. Please give Rosie a chance! This was a sad and horrible situation. Our hearts are aching for what she and Dolly had to endure over the last two years. Are you the angel who will make up for her suffering? UPDATE: This is one of the worst cases of abuse ODR INC has seen. 3 yr old, tiny 7 lb little Rosie is deaf and missing her eyes . She is the sweetest most loving little doll and she and did not deserve this. She was starved, never vetted, has not had any medical care . Her tiny white paws stained by urine and feces. Rosie has a serious mouth and gum infection and had 20 teeth extracted on May 14, 2012. She is on pain medication and antibiotics. Her vet bill has exceeded $1000.00 to date . PLEASE consider making a donation to our Doxie vet at 503. 543. 6464 PLEASE help if you can . ODR INC must pay down her vet bill so other Doxies can be vetted. The fees include spay/neuter, rabies, dhpp, bordetella, pyrantel, advantage treatment, grooming including nails, as well as complete exam at our doxie vet. Each dog comes with custom made doxie halter, all new toys and blankets. All in all, an investment greater than the adoption fee. We have very strict adoption guidelines because we require an escape proof fenc ed yard and someone who is home most of the day. Kids over 10 are ok, but no cats less they've been raised with them, or other small prey animals (these are hunters).
