Jaxson's Story...

My name is Jaxson and I am a beautiful blue boy, about 1 year old. I was found roaming around as a stray dog which surprises my foster parents because I sure do know a lot of tricks! I take treats very gently and am great with other dogs. I might be okay with cats but I haven't really been tested around them all that much so you'll have to be careful! I am great in the car, just like to hang out in the backseat and sleep mostly. I need a little bit of work on a leash but, otherwise, I'm pretty much a perfect boy! I would be great with older kids but you'd have to watch me with the little ones because I do like to jump sometimes when I first see you! Please take me to your place forever?? Springfield, MO

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jaxson, a St. Louis Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
