Opie is a delightful one and a half year old Poodle mix, mixed most likely with Terrier (he is a Terripoo, though he did inherit the low shedding coat of a Poodle, but the longer legs and body of a Terrier). He was rescued from the Devore Animal Shelter. He is mostly white, but has some very light brown markings on his ears and in parts of his coat. He weighs 12 lbs. He is most likely HYPOALLERGENIC.
There are two main words to describe Opie: Friendly and happy. Opie is a very versatile dog that can be placed in a family with children, or be a companion dog for a single person or couple. Since he has longer legs, he can go on hikes and walks, and would also be good at dog park. He enjoys being in the same room with the humans most of the time. He will find a place to lay down, stretch out his back legs behind his body (a very cute thing that he does) and just calmly watch you, being content to take in everything that you are doing in the kitchen, or at the computer, whatever the case may be.
Opie gets along with all dogs big and small. He is so friendly! He is also currently in a foster home with two cats (but they spend most of the time hiding). Though it is hard to capture this in photos or on camera (he is very camera shy) Opie is always smiling and wagging his tail. He also loves to cuddle. He is crate-trained and sleeps in a crate at night. He is also potty-trained and house-trained (though potty reinforcement is always needed for any dog in a new environment).
Opie is neutered, de-wormed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped.
