Abbey's Story...
Abbey is a gorgeous, silky cinnamon color and is sweet as can be! She came from a kill shelter and was a shelter fave and they just couldn't stand the thought of putting her down. So she made the 5 hr car trip to become a S.C.A.R.S. pup! She rides awesome in a car and does very good on a leash. With her sad puppy dog eyes and pretty coat you can't help but want to hug this pretty baby! She is approx 8 months old and is spayed and UTD on shots. She has a lot of puppy energy and would love to have her own family to run & play with. Meet this girl and like me, you will fall in love with her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abbey, a Claypool Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Claypool, or seeking a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Claypool.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Claypool already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Claypool breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Claypool paves the way for another one to be saved.
