Roscoe's Story...
Roscoe is a Bassett Hound mix thought to be 1-2 years old. He is a very sweet and loving dog who loves to play and loves other dogs and kids. He is fully vetted, neutered, and working on crate training. He is leash trained and does not pull while walking on the leash. He has is good with children and loves to play with them. He is also good with my other dog who weighs 12 pounds - she is very timid and he does well with her. He knows how to sit, comes when called, loves to tunnel under the bed covers and sleep, or just cuddle. His favorite toy is a lazer light and he will chase it for as long as you will shine it. He will bring you lots of laughs with his quirky play and funny ways. He is a very good dog and will make a great family dog!! He foster family thinks he is wonderful! please contact mdcctennis@aol.com if interested.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roscoe, a Raleigh Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Raleigh, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Raleigh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Raleigh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Raleigh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Raleigh paves the way for another one to be saved.
