My story

Hugo’s adoption fee is $350.

Hugo is male ‘tweenie’ dachshund – he’s 6 years old, weighs about 12 pounds, is neutered, up to date on vaccines and micro chipped. He’s a great dog and is well behaved. Hugo is like my little shadow, since he follows me around the house no matter where I go. He will bark when left alone, so would be best in a single home environment where someone is home during the day. Hugo also loves having a yard that he can run around in. He will bark and lunge when encountering larger dogs, and would be happiest as the only dog in the household. Hugo is very well housetrained; goes to the door to ask to be let out, and if you don’t come, he will come to find you to open the door for him. He is happy to sleep on the bed or in the crate.

Hugo does like to steal paper and will eat it if you don’t see him. He can really jump and tries really hard to get food off the counter if there is any, and will steal food or papers from anywhere he can reach. He also loves stuffed toys, but will quickly tear them to pieces. He tends to pull when walking on leash, and will need to continue to continue to learn how to walk properly. He likes everyone who is in the home or that comes to the home, and is very friendly and affectionate with all people. He loves to lay beside you or in your lap, and gives great kisses.
