My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB 3/30/2012
Coat: Smooth
Available approx June 15th

These little darlings came into rescue when they were four weeks old. A casual backyard breeder had let things get out of control and this was the young mom dog’s second litter before she was a year and a half old. Fortunately, a family member got the owner to surrender the entire group including the 7 month old older brother from the first litter.

If these puppies are anything like mom or their big brother, they will have sublime temperaments and will be terrific family pets. We expect they will be sweet, friendly, well behaved and gentle. Mom dog, Brie is a red “mostly” doxie weighing 15.5 lbs. (Brie herself will also be available for adoption sometime after mid-June.)

The puppies are getting well socialized with all the neighborhood children. The foster family’s
cat and their personal doxies also love romping with the puppies.

Siggy #2725
Color: Red
Siegfried, is also known as Tank because he is visibly the big boy of the litter, double the size of his smallest littermate. At 5 weeks, he was 3.2 lbs to his sisters 1.8 lbs. Right now, he’s about as wide as he is tall. He is super mellow and super friendly (which is good because it’s hard to resist picking him up for a little squish).

Otto #2726
Color: Red Sable
Otto is the second largest male puppy. He has the longest ears in the bunch with great wrinkles on his forehead. Otto's another little boy who loves to play and tackle the others. He's very friendly and loves to untie your shoelaces. He's quite an explorer in the yard as well.

Axel #2727
Color : Red Sable
Axel is the darkest sable of the litter and is the precocious one, always slightly developmentally ahead of his siblings. He's quite a character, always running around and over and under his siblings. He loves to play with his litter mates and is loads of fun to watch. He, like his brothers, is super friendly and easy going. His ears are little more “mostly” than some of the litter.

Dorian #2728
Color: Red
Dorian is a red, like big brother Siggy, but he has a black tipped tail. He is extremely sweet and mellow. He's quieter than the rest and likes to watch the action. He plays very well when he decides to join in. He's very friendly and will make a great companion.

The puppies will all be neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been vet checked, dewormed and are current on their vaccinations. They will not be able to go their new homes prior to June 10th.
If you are interested in one of the puppies, please fill out an adoption application at www.scdr.org and email Lindy at linla@comcast.net. The tax deductible donation for each puppy is $325
