Windy's Story...
"Who's peekin' out from under a stairway
Calling a name that's lighter than air
Who's bending down to give me a rainbow
Everyone knows it's Windy

Who's tripping down the streets of the city
Smilin' at everybody she sees
Who's reachin' out to capture a moment
Everyone knows it's Windy"
~ The Association

Our Windy is a young Treeing Walker girl who is no more than 1 year old. She is getting along well with the other dogs in her foster home and is excited to go out for a walk on her leash. She is very curious about the cat but with a little work her foster mom is pretty sure she will be sharing her couch with the cat. She will start attending daycare sometime before Christmas to continue her socialization. Windy is smart, sweet and loving and would be a great addition to any home! She is waiting in California for her forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Windy, a Sacramento area Treeing Walker Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound for sale in Sacramento area, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound dog from a breeder in Sacramento area.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento area already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento area breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento area paves the way for another one to be saved.
