Olivia's Story...
We've found people are really drawn to the quiet, young lady with the wrinkly forehead. So why Olivia hasn't found a home yet is baffling to us. Besides boasting a beautiful red coat, she possesses a very sweet and fun-loving temperament. Olivia is puppyish and playful and enjoys running around the yard, playing with her toys. She seems very Lab-like in her interactions and when excited, will jump up with enthusiasm, but is quick to respond to correction. She loves people and relishes both food and attention so she will make a good student. She knows sit and takes treats gently but could use some leash work. She does well with polite dogs that don't overwhelm her. Since she does seem to be hand-shy, it'd would be best that she does not live with young children. If you think Olivia could fit into your life, please come in and meet her.

Act quickly to adopt Olivia. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Huntington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Huntington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
