Takoda's Story...
Name: Takoda
Age: 2 years old
Sex: male

Takoda came to rescue because a nice person saw him chained up in a yard for 2 years so she convinced the owner to give him up. Since he was outside with no cover, his hair is very light.
Takoda is a very sweet boy that gets along with the other dogs. He is still learning about the indoor life. Takoda LOVES the couch. He is great about going in a crate.
Since he was on a chain, he does show some leash aggression that we are working on and he is getting much better.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Takoda, a Denver St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Denver, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
