Black Magic's Story...
1/5/12 Black Magic came to us after being severely neglected by first owners. He lived behind a country store, tied to a huge walk-in ice cooler during the day and then at night was put inside the cooler so he couldnt escape. Now he is rescued and has turned into a fat and sassy boy! Black Magic is a sweet heart who loves to play fetch. Give him a toy and you will see a happy boy! He loves humans and would make the perfect inside pet. We don't think he would do well with other dogs though. He tends to be a bit bossy and vocal about his presence if he thinks he is being left out or ignored. He would do best in a home that has plenty of time to dote on this handsome boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Black Magic, a Southampton Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Southampton, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Southampton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southampton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southampton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southampton paves the way for another one to be saved.
