Peggy's Story...
Peggy is a petite black and gray striped kitty, who will probably always look like a kitten. She came into foster care as a young pregnant stray, not even a year old. We think she was born about March of 2006. She is affectionate, with boundless energy and always purring. She has this funny habit of curling her tail over her back. We’ve never seen a cat do that, but it is totally adorable! Peggy wants to tell everyone that she was very lucky that she was able to have her babies in a safe, warm place, but her happiest ending would be to find a family that will love her forever! For more information call Kim at (630) 978-2546 or go to our website to download an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peggy, a Montgomery Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Montgomery, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Montgomery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Montgomery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Montgomery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Montgomery paves the way for another one to be saved.
