Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This pretty young cat, born around 2009-10, was a known stray in the Humboldt Park neighborhood since last summer. Since she was notorious for liking lap-time, love and even young children, neighbors were happy to find placement for her with Tree House.
Ponchita is still adjusting to shelter life, but seems very happy to be somewhere warm and safe. She has been playing kitty soccer with jingle balls and chirping while carrying toy mice in her mouth. She hasn’t made any close kitty pals yet, but I suspect it’s not for her lack of trying. She has already begun trilling, and softly mewing at every cat she meets as if to say, “pleased to meet you.”
