Winnie's Story...
4/15/12 This petite beauty, named Winnie, possibly a boxer hound mix, was set to be gassed in a North Carolina kill shelter, but the staff was occupied by another crisis and Winnie gave birth that night in the shelter. Before the staff could finish the job, friends of Wags Rescue went into action and the very next day rescued this sweet mama and her brood of five pups. Now in rescue, Winnie and her litter are thriving and enjoying the beautiful spring as if they actually know how lucky they are. Winnie is a small/medium, between 20-25 lbs. and very laid back. She demonstrates an easy going and cuddly nature. Winnie is fully vetted and needs a foster/adopter to come to Pa. at the end of April.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a Southampton Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Southampton, or seeking a Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Southampton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southampton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southampton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southampton paves the way for another one to be saved.
