Update 12/02/12: Hi there, it's Sofia Rose. Just look at my smile and you will see how playful I am, how loving I am, and just how pretty my face is. I may have cataracts but Foster mom says I'm a true gift of 11 pounds of cuddling from God and I'm still looking for my forever home. Please consider me to fulfill your life. I promise I will love you with all my heart in return!!
Update 07/22/12: Sofia here, can you believe I haven't found a forever home yet? Foster mom and dad said I'm a great girl and would make you so happy. I'm lovable, happy, playful and just a delight to be around. Despite my special needs, I would say I'm perfect! Thank goodness I was saved from being killed that day in the shelter because I have many years to give you tons of kisses! Please consider me as a part of your family. Hugs and kisses..

UPDATE 5/20/12: Sofia has been with foster mom now just over a month and she has a few things to say about this little love bug. We found that from all the ticks she had from wondering the street and or being totally neglected she came down with Ehrlichia, a disease from brown ticks. We have given her a 30 day treatment of meds and we think it has taken care of whipping it out of her system. We are advised that she should be tested in about three months to make sure it is out of her system. Sofia needs a forever family that has patience and a very kind sof heart. She touches your soul and wants to please everyone but she needs some tlc, and work on her pottying. We have great news that her cataracts has not taken her eyesight she still has a decent amount of sight left. She is so smart and will learn her way around quickly. Please no open pools for her to fall into, we also want you to know she has generalized week ess in her hind end. We have done xrays and nothing was found. Our vet is suspecting something neurological but nothing scary, she is not in pain. Please consider this sweet loving little girl for a great addition to your family, she is beautiful and oh so loving.
Initial Bio 04/17/12: Sweet Sofia Rose was recently rescued from an AZ shelter. She was three hours from being euthanized. She is 14 pounds of pure love. At approximately 6 years old Sofia can play like a puppy. Here's her story...
"Hi there, my new name is Sofia Rose and I live in Phoenix, AZ. I am sweet as can be, playful, loving, a snuggler and a great kisser. But I do have a few minor issues. I am a little overweight, have bad cataracts and I also have some issues with my back legs that cause me to slide alot. I ended up at the shelter where I was hours away from dying. I'm so excited that these wonderful people at UYR saved my life. I love everyone. The dogs at foster mom's home are great because they help me find my way around and these little people (I think they are called kids) are fun too. I don't have a mean bone in my body and if you give me a chance I will show you how great I am. Just look at my fantastic face! Foster mom and I will keep you posted on how I'm doing. Oh, and I am going on a diet because 10 pounds is where I should be."
