Lola's Story...
Lola is a young 14 month old female border collie mix. She was slated to be euthanized when a group of angels came forward and knew that she deserved a second chance for a home.

Today, Lola is in boarding. There she plays in Daycare with groups of dogs of 8-12 daily. She loves the social time, play time and pool time! Lola is a great girl, she is not a big girl but maybe around 30 pounds. She is crate trained, completely vetted and spayed.

Lola is not with LPBR, we are listing her as a courtesy to the group of people that are boarding her and taking her to adoption events when they can.

For more information on Lola and how to meet her and her sponsor momma, please email us at speak@lovepuppybreath.org and we will get you in touch with them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lola, a Houston Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Houston, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
