Mia's Story...
Mia is an 8 month old female we believe to be a lab mix. She has a stunning black coat, long beautiful legs and sweet personality. Mia was adopted as a puppy back in October and we found that the person that adopted her, dumped her off at the local shelter without contacting us. Luckily, she was chipped and that lead her back to us. Why Mia was returned, we are not sure.
What we do know is that Mia is a great dog!
Right now Mia is in a Boarding/Doggie Daycare facility. She is in doggie play groups everyday with 8-12 dogs. She plays very well with everyone! She has good listening skills, knows some of her commands (sit, down, etc.) and is spayed, crate trained, current on her vaccines and vetting.

Mia is looking for a forever home, one where she will be cared for and loved. Mia loves people, kids and just everyone she meets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Houston Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
