My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sissy is a black/silver female husky mix born in August 2011. She was surrendered by her owner due to relocation. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, parasite negative and current on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. She stands 25 inches at the shoulder and weighs about 50 lb. Sissy spent several months of her puppyhood tied outside without much attention. Despite that, she is very affectionate and friendly. She "talks" in little growly sounds (it's a husky thing). She is house-trained and crate-trained for nighttime sleeping. She sits for a treat and will do pretty much anything for a Milk Bone. This dog is very smart and curious. She wants to be in on everything you're doing--laundry, dishes, yardwork--you name it, she's there! She is busy, fun and funny with an unparalleled zest for life. She is lean, strong, active and athletic, and will need a good fenced yard for running and playing. She can climb a standard 5-ft fence (but usually chooses not to), so she would do best with a 6-ft privacy fence. She is not good with cats, but plays well with other dogs. She is somewhat possessive about her human around other dogs, however, so she'd probably prefer being an only dog. Life is hard for her at the moment because she lives in a foster home with 12 other dogs. If you can find a place in your heart to give this sweet, beautiful girl a fresh start, please contact Janel Miller at dogrefuge@gmail.com.
