10 month old Australian Shepherd Mix male- 40 lbs.
Dakota is a very loving guy, a big lap dog. He likes all people, dogs and he is excellent with children. He loves to play tug a war, tennis balls and going for long walks.
Dakota would be very happy with an active family that has a lot of time to spend with him or a home with another dog that like to romp and play, but would also be a happy as the only family dog. He has a lot of energy. Waiting for his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DAKOTA, a Irvine Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Irvine, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Irvine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Irvine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Irvine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Irvine paves the way for another one to be saved.
