Skipper is a 10 year old African Grey Parrot. After he gets comfortable with you, he is active and talks and whistles a lot. He also barks like a dog and squeaks like a squeaky toy. He LOVES to chew on wood! He is eating a combination of pellets and Safflower Gold (mixture of seeds, nuts, etc) and fresh fruit. He loves strawberries, bananas, grapes and sugar snap peas. Sometimes he will eat broccoli! We are working on broadening his pallet so that his diet is healthier to include lots more veggies. Skipper currently does not want to be handled, but we are slowly working on that. He doesn't seem to know the command "step up", but we are going to get lots of practice in! He is fully feathered and very beautiful! If you have patience and experience with parrots, Skipper might be the right companion for you!
