Please meet Bitsy! Bitsy is a 7 year old, 6 lb Chi mix rescued from North Central LA shelter. She's a quiet, gentle sweetheart who loves Belly Tickles from her favorite human even more than she loves treats! She is seeking a loving forever person (or people) who can attend to her special needs: A thyroid condition that requires daily medication, and she has luxating patella in her left hind leg that means she sometimes gets around on 3 legs, sometimes 4 - she's happy & mobile either way, as long as her activity level is moderate. Bitsy is being fostered in Los Angeles, CA. She is available for adoption through Small Dog Big Deal Rescue. $150.00 adoption donation with approved application. Spayed/Microchipped/VetChecked/UTD the works! Contact Colleen Peltier at Serrafinn67@aol.com or (714) 305-5626.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bitzy, a Bellflower Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
