Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***Did you know that black cats are the most overlooked by adopters? Please consider adopting a black cat.***
Who says black cats are bad luck? Crafty must have had very GOOD luck to be rescued from the outdoors and taken care of. He is now neutered, up to date with shots, tested FIV and FeLV negative, defleaed and dewormed, and microchipped in case he ever gets lost.
He is a gorgeous long-haired cat, but since he doesn't have a significant undercoat, he doesn't need to be brushed quite as often as most long-haired breeds. His fur is glossy and soft, and surprisingly does not form mats. He is an affectionate lap cat who gets along well with other cats (once he gets to know them) and even tolerates cat-friendly dogs. He loves to chase plastic toys with jingle bells inside, and although he is usually silent, he becomes softly vocal when he is lonely and seeking affection. If you are familiar with the Shrek movies: Crafty has been known to display "Puss in Boots" eyes when he really wants your attention - it's adorable!
An adult home or a home with experienced cat lovers is preferred, since he sometimes nips while being petted; this behavior has decreased greatly with some simple but firm "NO BITE" commands and the occasional spritz from a water bottle.
