Marlowe's Story...
Marlowe is a beautiful boy that was transfered to Katie's Place from another shelter where he was originally brought in as a stray. Marlowe is approximately two years old and has probably spent the entire two years of his life in the same home with the same people. Unfortunately this boy wasn't able to be reunited with his family and now Marlowe has become extremely unhappy. The poor boy didn't have a lot of trust for us volunteers at the shelter. With time and patience, Marlowe has come to see that we're not as scary as he once thought and will allow us to pet him much more than he used to. Marlowe will still give warning growls if he feels we're paying too much attention to him, though this is happening less and less. We're sure when Marlowe is back in a home and out of this extremely stressful environment he'll be a happy, calm, loving boy once more. Because Marlowe can get overwhelmed, he should not go to a home with small children or dogs, but other cats would be okay as long as they are respectful of his space. If you're looking for a gorgeous boy to complete your family, come meet Marlowe.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marlowe, a Maple Ridge Himalayan cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Himalayan for sale in Maple Ridge, or seeking a Himalayan cat from a breeder in Maple Ridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Maple Ridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Maple Ridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Himalayan breeders who help with Himalayan rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Maple Ridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
