Joey's Story...
Joey is about a year old. His former owner did abuse him but you would never know it, he is very well behaved, learns quickly and is obedient. His owner caused him to lose one eye and he has had damage to his throat from a chain, but has had a full physical and is in perfect health with no lingering effects. He loves dogs, people big and small and just being shown attention. Fosters are also welcome for Joey.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joey, a Chattanooga American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
