Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Birthdate: 5/22/11
Gender: Female, spayed
Breed: Beagle mix
Venus has just one question to ask about her new home, “Are there kids? Are there kids? It’s PLAYTIME!” This little girl loves to play, and she’s figured out that kids love to play just as much as she does, and that’s a wonderful thing.
Her foster family has had such a great time with Venus, and their kids have loved teaching her and keeping her entertained, and vice versa. She loves hanging out with them and exploring new things. If there’s one word that _doesn’t_ describe her, it’s “timid.” Venus is a very outgoing, happy girl, as you can certainly see from her photos. She’s such a ham for the camera.
Don’t miss her video! With the right training, we think Venus would excel at agility. Look at those jumps!
We believe Venus is a Beagle mixed with some sort of terrier. She definitely has some unique markings, so she stands out in the crowd. But she has a very small body structure, weighing in at only 19 pounds full grown, so she’s just the right size.
Venus has been around other dogs and gets along fine with them, but she does best with larger dogs or other dogs her own size who love to play as much as she does. She has a lot of energy, so she would love to have a fenced in yard where she can safely run. She also does great with cats. She just sniffs them and ignores them since they’re not interested in playing ball with her.
This smart little girl is already fully housebroken and has started on obedience training. She knows Sit very well and is leash trained, although she will pull at times.
Venus does have a slight food allergy, so she needs to stay on her current food, which is Nutro Natural Choice Small Bites Puppy. She loves it, and it makes her tummy feel good.
Interested in making Venus your own? She’s hanging out with her foster family while she waits for a great new home, but she would love to meet you. Please call 330–397–8270 to schedule an appt to meet her at the shelter. She has already been spayed, heartworm tested (negative), fully vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated, so she’s ready to go home with your family right away.
