Mikey (Hercules)'s Story...
Hey there! Thanks for checking me out! My name is Mikey. I was born in July 2010.

I am very shy at first and really don’t like adoption days. I’m a super sweet, good boy, love to play, purr and just be loved. I’m a lap-kitty and I can be pretty silly at times, too. I love the “bird on a stick” toy! Watch me jump and flip!!! Oh, and I like dogs…we have a BIG doggie at our house and I really love her! As long as they’re calm and we can play nice together, I would like to have another cat or dog to love, too!

Stop by and meet our pets on Saturdays from noon to 4pm near the groomers in the PetSmart store in Simi Valley, except holiday weekends. Please email ahead to make sure a particular pet will be at adoptions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mikey (Hercules), a Simi Valley Norwegian Forest Cat cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Norwegian Forest Cat for sale in Simi Valley, or seeking a Norwegian Forest Cat cat from a breeder in Simi Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Simi Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Simi Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Norwegian Forest Cat breeders who help with Norwegian Forest Cat rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Simi Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
