Max's Story...
Update: NEW PICTURES ADDED! Max has now been groomed and looks so much better! We have more pictures, drop us an email and we'll send them to you.

Max is a male Lhasa Apso that came to us from a tiny shelter in a small town in rural Arkansas. He was extremely matted and full of burrs when we pulled him from the shelter. He's so much happier now that he's been groomed! If you'd like to see pictures of Max when we took him in, please email us and we'll send them to you.

Max weighs 23 pounds so he's not too big and not too small. He is crate trained but will probably need a little work with house training. His current foster home has several other dogs so they haven't been able to work with him much. He's a smart boy so he should learn quickly. He loves being outside and would do well in a home with another dog for company. His foster home has a large black lab and Max follows him everywhere.

If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy, please make sure you are prepared to care for him for the rest of his life. He deserves a wonderful home to shower him with all of the love and devotion he deserves. He has plenty to give in return. He will only be adopted out to home that wants him as an inside dog.

Adoption fee is $200 and includes neuter, vaccinations, and heartworm preventative.
We send an adoption kit with each dog that includes a small bag of food, treats, a toy, and vaccination information.

Please note that we do not place our animals on a first come, first served basis. We work to find the best homes possible for our babies. Please fill out an application for adoption ONLY if you are serious about adopting this dog and you can provide for any special needs it may have. Vet references are required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Mountain Home Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Mountain Home, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Mountain Home.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mountain Home already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mountain Home breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mountain Home paves the way for another one to be saved.
