My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET "TOMMY"! A BLACK STANDARD POODLE PUPPy who was born March 8, 2012!

Tommy has been loved, socialized and well cared for since he was born. However, the Breeder was unable to find him a home.

He enjoys playing with the toys, loves to romp in our fenced yard, and will follow me everywhere I go while looking for some loving!
This is VERY friendly, sociable, silly puppy boy with not a mean bone in his body!

Tommy has been enjoying play time with "Charlie", the miniature Poodle who is happily leaving for his new home soon!

Tommy would be just fine by himself or would greatly enjoy another large and gentle dog to play with or to keep each other company.

PLEASE NO SMALL OR DOMINATE DOGS! Tommy is already an 18 pound soft and easy going boy who is going to be VERY big. We do not want to see him being "bullied" nor have the safety of a small dog in danger.

Please keep in mind that because Poodles do not shed, regular brushing is required to prevent knots.
Clipping / grooming needs to be done every 3 to 4 months which will cost you $50.00 to $75.00 every time.
Make sure you know a groomer willing to accept another Standard Poodle before you think about adopting one.

Poodles are considered one of the best dogs to have if you have "allergies". However, NO dog is "non-allergenic". The allergies you suffer may be from the grasses and pollens caught in the dogs fur.

Preference will be given to families with previous Standard Poodle experience, a fenced yard, knowledge of puppy training, obedience, responsibility and all that it implies.

We will also require that you live within a 1 days drive from us! Tommy has an umbilical hernia. You will be required to return Tommy to us when he is 7 or 8 months old so we can have him neutered and the hernia repaired both at the same time.

Tommy's adoption fee of $500.00 includes this surgery and his Vet check. All his shots are up to date, he has been wormed, Home Again micro-chipped and placed on a heartworm medication.

We will also include a bag of puppy food, information about a "new puppy", a leash and harness and a 400 wire crate that has been donated to us. The crate is to big for Tommy now, but he will quickly grow into it.

PLEASE VISIT our web site for more great pictures and information about Tommy!

YES! This is a very rare opportunity for the right family!

Contact us if you have specific questions about Tommy or if you would like us to send you his "Application For Adoption".
