Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Four year old Cassie originally belonged to an elderly owner. When this owner died, she became a yard dog with her owner's daughter. Then a move meant Cassie had to go, so she came into rescue where she is a yard dog no more.
Cassie is a little "tubba wubba" and clearly ate to entertain herself. We refer to her as Cassie Cannoli since she looks like a little stuffed tube. We now have Cassie on a weight reducing program which includes twice a day walks. This little darling appears to have never been on a leash before she came into rescue! Cars going by still scare her but she is getting braver every day and the walks are great for her socialization as well as her weight.
Cassie is a love bug with those she knows. She takes a few moments to warm up to strangers. We never understood the appeal of tiny purse size dogs before, but Cassie is making us a convert. It's hard to resist carrying her around everywhere.
Cassie lived with two bigger doxies and in foster care she is living with a pack of them. She is a feisty one and holds her own with all the others.
Cassie wants a home with no children or with teens and up. (She is too delicate for young children). She also needs a home that will continue to monitor her food and take her on walks.
Cassie came into rescue with breath that reeked. She loved to give kisses but they were hard to endure, so off she went for a dental where to our surprise, she lost 18 teeth! Now we love to receive her kisses as much as she loves to give them.
